[google-cloud-sql-discuss] Unable to connect to SQL from vm with private SQL IP (but can with public IP)

Good day,

I followed all the tutorials and set up the SQL to use private IP, and for the VM to have a static IP4.

I can connect to the SQL DB from VM with the public IP and ssh files, but if I'd like to connect to SQL DB with the private IP it hangs in the terminal and gives this error:

ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on '10.63.16.3' (110)

My VM public IP is 35.229.127.69
