[google-cloud-sql-discuss] Re: Upgrading Postgres from 9.6 to 13

I have not been able to find a way to keep the IP as an upgrade of the Postgres version requires you to create a new Cloud SQL instance [1] and there is no way to assign an IP to it. 


An option to prevent this situation is to use the Cloud SQL Auth proxy [2]. Using it will avoid the need of connecting to the instance using a static IP

I need to keep the same IP as the instance with 9.6. There are many applications.

I accept suggestion of less important strategies.
