[google-cloud-sql-discuss] Re: Postgresql Replication Options

The functionality for replication as it is present for MySQL is not present for PostgreSQL yet. I've created a feature request here. I cannot provide any eta as to when it will be available, rest assured that your feedback is always taken seriously. Any future updates will be posted there as well.

However, in the meantime you can set up PostgreSQL for high availability and replication with hot standby as explained here. These community tutorials are submitted from the community, so they do not represent official Google Cloud Platform product documentation. You may open issues with them by clicking on 'REPORT ISSUE' link on the top.

Hi There, we want to use replication with Cloud SQL postgres. The documentation says this is not supported yet, but we've found that sometimes, with other google products, the functionality exists and the documentation is lacking. Can someone kindly offer some help? And, if it is not available yet, any idea on timeline?

Thanks!
Mike
