We currently ask for a credit card in order to validate accounts in order to prevent abuse and protect the service for all our users.
We know its not great, and we're looking at alternative mechanisms.

Microsoft had similar but yet better handled challenge where anyone had access to it, rich or poor, credit card no credit card no discrimination no categorization, talent is what matters!
