Hi Joe Faith,
I've followed the instruction you sent me before and got selected to receive the $2000 credit.
Thanks anyway and good luck with everything!

Now I only have to complete 4 steps to activate the credit and one of those steps is enable billing but billing can only be enabled by entering a credit card nr which I don't have! :(
So I don't have nothing on that credit and I'm unable to enter the challenge! :(
It would be great if google can enable other ways of payment for us who don't own a credit card, because right now it's kinda promoting categorization and creating that known gap between

poor and rich which I believe google is not about! Internet was great and revolutionary because it was different and anyone could have a chance to create something and put it out there!
To be honest I don't think the challenge is fair because it's accessible only to those who can afford it! There is lots of talent out there who can't afford a credit card.

So there is no other way to have any kind of database enabled in app engine with php!?"Making the world a better place" while limiting access to those less fortunate!? It's kind a weird, isn't it!?
Asking this because somehow it is possible to use database driven apps when developing in python on app engine!?
Usually people who own a credit card could be considered "those who are in the money", which I'm not. Any other solutions to enable billing and execute payments!?

The application uses database and it works great on my localhost env.
I thought app engine is free and it comes with a free database but now I find out that I need to use Cloud SQL and thatit requires a billing enabled which requires a credit card information which I unfortunately do not have.
Is there any other way to use database in app engine with php for free without enabling the billing info?
