[google-cloud-sql-discuss] MySQL 2nd Gen 'Under Maintenance'

Hi everyone,

I have a MySQL 2nd gen instance that's been in 'Under Maintenance' status for most of the day (and is outside of the scheduled maintenance window). The gcloud cli is not able to connect either:

ERROR: (gcloud.sql.connect) HTTPError 409: The instance or operation is not in an appropriate state to handle the request.

Any idea on how to investigate further? Nothing in the operations log, etc.
