Hi,

We are starting to use Google Cloud SQL (GCS) with a google appengine app (GAE) and the performance seems to be very slow.  Our database has about 3,000 rows across 10-15 tables and minimal number of columns.  Many of our simple lookup pages take about a ~1-2s to load.  I setup appstats to troubleshoot, and it shows that the rdbms RPC calls are taking around 1000ms.  Given the small size of our database I am surprised to see this.  Am I am missing something here or is this really the expected performance of GCS with GAE?

Thanks!
Farhan
