Re: Unexpected Error when adding authorised application

THANKS!

Note that the standard scheduled backups do not go to Google Cloud Storage, but are stored separately so you are not charged for them.
You can export your database to Cloud Storage using the instructions here: https://developers.google.com/cloud-sql/docs/import_export

OK just for the record, the app is indeed a US app. The option to have an EU app is only available to premier users so, at least for the moment (and i'm gonna put this in caps for effect  :P )...

DO NOT CHOOSE AN EU SQL INSTANCE! IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE STANDARD/FREE GOOGLE APP ENGINE!

Caps over :P To fix it, delete the instance (assuming you are on the trial and can only have one instance) and re set it up as US. Note that the delete option is under the Actions menu dropdown but this appears to randomly appear and disappear (at least for me). Give the main instance view a few refreshes to see if it appears (or try a different browser)....

Note also that the backup to GS option didn't work for me (no error, just nothing appeared in my GS) so reckon on manually recreating your instance.

Sorry for delay in responding and thanks for the replies.

The gae is HRD, definitely not M/S. The DB instance is European, I can't figure out how to tell what the locale for the app is? I also can't seem to change the locale of the DB instance. And I can't create a new instance under the trial offer. Oh dear! Am I stuck?

I'll pm project details to Razvan.

Thanks,
Colm

Are you trying to add a master slave GAE app with speckle? Or a US speckle instance with EU GAE app?

What project are you trying to add? Feel free to send me that off-the-list.

Hi,

Doing the first Guesbook tutorial as a prelude to moving from datastore to Cloud SQL. Have the instance up, billing all ok, database and table created ok. But when I try to add an authorised app I get the red Unexpected Error message. Project number 606350364157

Thanks,
